A live picture of the upcoming TiVo Premiere has been spotted at Best Buy, hinting that the devices should be shipping on time. Word is that they will be going on sale on March 28th, which is just over a week away. The units should already be at the stores, so it looks like there won’t be any shortages, and hopefully no last-minute hiccups to prevent you from picking up the latest TiVo unit on said date. Are you planning to get one the day it’s released, or are you planning to kick back and see the response first?

Check out this steampunk iteration of a desktop setup, where a whole lot of sweat as well as customization has been thrown in. There is a significant amount of wood as well as brass included in the mix so that it achieves a right balance of form and function. According to the designers, “These custom-made keyboards, framed monitors and computers are completely functional, but with a 19th century/ steampunk aesthetic.” What do you think of this effort?

AT&T is more or less famous for their iPhone, but today we shall take a look at another handset known as the Airo Wireless A25is rugged phone. Basically, this is touted to be the first rugged device on their network which will be able to support its suite of business mobile applications. Powered by the now-dated Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, it will target "potentially explosive environments". The Airo Wireless A25is is more than able to conform to MIL-SPEC 810 F/G standards, boasting specifications such as a 2.8" touchscreen display, a QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth connectivity, push-to-talk support and GPS navigation, all crammed into a chassis that measures no more than 1" thin.

Saving energy and going green seems to be on the agenda of many folks these days, and these software-controlled networked LED lights are certainly worth looking into thanks to a digital startup known as Digital Lumens. These networked LED light fixtures are touted to save up to 90% of energy when compared to regular HID lights which are normally found in warehouses and commercial buildings, thanks to sensors and software which control precisely how and when the lights are used. Basically, whenever there is more daylight, less artificial light will be used. The system can even be programmed so that it is aware of when selected zones require more light during the day.

The Super Gameboy from Nintendo was a specially created piece of hardware which enables players to plug a Gameboy cartridge into the SNES console, and this nifty instructable will direct one to add an 1/8" audio jack to the catridge, where you will need some basic working knowledge of soldering to get it done. Chipmusicians who rely on LSDJ or Nanoloop will be able to use the Super Gameboy to compose audio on a large screen instead of using the diminutive screen display that is found on the Game Boy.
